The Ask Mahal classic living room set, made of wood with gilded carved details, is the subject of this page. The set grouped two sofas, two armchairs, a coffee table and two side tables, and the photographs below show it. Current Francesco Pasi pieces above show how to plan a gilded room of the same kind.
How do you plan a gilded TV wall?
Treat the TV wall as the largest carved piece in the room, not as a screen holder. The Gran Guardia Carved Wall Unit with Pierced Doors, TV Opening by Francesco Pasi measures H 247 x W 288 x D 50 cm, so it needs a clear wall of nearly three metres. Master craftsmen make every carved detail by hand in solid cherry. Centre it on the main seating, not on the door.
How many seats should the set have?
Count the people who use the room daily, then add armchairs rather than a second long sofa. The Gran Guardia Loveseat with 2 Cushions by Francesco Pasi measures H 104 x W 134 x D 92 cm and carries real gold or silver leaf details applied by hand. Two of these loveseats facing each other seat four and keep the coffee table within everyone's reach. Larger frames are listed among our italian designer sofas.
When should you choose silver leaf?
Choose it when the wall unit is in white lacquer with silver patina, so the metals agree. The New Deco Sideboard with Silver Leaf Panels by Francesco Pasi has silver leaf applied by hand and comes in cherry, lacquer or Luxury. For full combinations, open an italian living room set.
